I kind of agree.

The owners priority right now must be to be in the PL when we move to the OS.

Unless you are REALLY sure you are going to get someone guaranteed to be better, smart move from their perspective would be to stick with him for now.

I expect they're circling each other warily playing a bit of negotiation poker at the moment, but I fully expect him to still be WHU manager next season.

Re: Next West Ham Manager Odds - depressing.
His wife has wanted him out of management for years and didn't want him to take this job in the first place so I don't see her wants of any concern to him.

It is definitely still up in the air as far as I can tell, I do think the last few games could be the difference in them offering him a two year deal or not. Will he take it if offered? Well he has accepted two 2 year deals since he came so I see no reason why not.

And to be fair, if we don't choose a direction for the club and are just going to employ N.E. Other then I'm ok with him staying for another 2, silly to move him on just to get another like him.

I see Allardyce has been linked with the NIGERIA job this morning.
And his wife wants him to leave club management.

I have searched but cannot find what the odds are for BFS to STILL be our manager next season.

Could be good odds given all the current speculation but a decent bet as well, maybe have a cheeky dollar on that outcome if such betting exists

Re: Next West Ham Manager Odds - depressing.
I agree with Mr P the best hope we have of ridding the club of walrus is him turning down a new contract offer.
Clubs like Fulham plus Leicester and QPR if they go down are likely to want someone like him. That's really his level, not West Ham with traditions he despises.

So please Samuel, you are welcome to fuck off as soon as you can fix yourself up elsewhere. Don't slam the door on your way out.

When Allardyce goes we should put Sheringham in charge

I Agree that is what they'll do, but i disagree it's what they should do.

Sadly Sam staying will not affect attendances for the next couple of seasons. They know that and so don't care if we like him or not. Rightly or wrongly (I believe wrongly), they will see their investment as safer with Sam in charge than anyone else they can attract.

Our only hope is Sams ego won't be willing to sign for another 2 years only and Sullys ego won't offer him more.

The next sorry for us is that although there are plenty managers better out there, is the ability of the owners to actually get them.

Re: Next West Ham Manager Odds - depressing.
Our big ambitions rely heavily on the club being in the PL when we move in.

For this reason I think they may just hang on one more season and then let the new facility attract what it deserves whilst not rocking the investment into the lead up.

They will get away with it because of the emotional last season at the Boleyn.

No. Let's get rid of Sam in the summer because he isn't good enough to get us where our ambitions now lay...

Let's get rid of Sam he never has been or will be West Ham the fat northern oaf.

Let's get a foreigner in, instead.....

I'm thinking Rafa too. Out of contract at the end of the season. Family like London.

Good credentials.

Laudrup for me.

Or Ranieri. I love the bloke. Proper football man and an absolute gentleman. Was always far too classy and dignified for Chelsea.

Re: Next West Ham Manager Odds - depressing.
Slater, if people are that easily swayed on whether we should have allardyce as manager, maybe they'd be better not having an opinion in the first place and fwiw , I said I'm undecided but knowing some on here they won't be happy because he's never managed a team to a european trophy.

So it can't be Benitez.
